Overland Truck For Sale
While trying our hand at panning for gold we heard that there was another overland truck in town. When we finally got to town it was not hard to spot and we parked nearby. We soon got talking to Frans and Martine from Belgium who own the truck pictured and have been travelling in Canada for a year but have previously driven through Europe to Africa.
The truck is huge and really nicely setup with masses of storage. They have had enough though and the truck is now for sale. It is being sold complete with all gear and ready to go so if you are interested in driving from North America down to South America it would be a great buy at a cheap price. The price is USD 19,999 or Euro 15,000 .
Those interested please email Frans – DEGRANDEFRANS@HOTMAIL.COM
That looks even more fuel hungry than yours…
They only get 7 miles to the Gallon !
Just out of curiosity – what is the fuel consumption of your DAF?
Hi,
We get 13 miles to the gallon (or 11 miles to the US Gallon.
Regards,
Mark
Hallo,
I’m the owner of the MAN truck. Yes, it can be hard on diesel but this is a multifuel engine, iet burns all kinds of fuels, usued oil too. So this is for free!
the dieselprice here is much cheaper than in Europe (England). So driving is not that expensive and very special,
greetings,
Frans
Hallo,
For the whole trip we’ve done till now in North America our fuel rate is 28 liters/100 km or 10 miles a gallon. We did about 35000 km since last year in may.
the truck is still for sale. We are now in Terrace central British Columbia.
greetings,
Frans
saw this vehicle in the Mesa Verde area (Colorado) on Columbus Day. SO cool. Would have loved to see the inside.
sold?
I don’t think it is sold at this point in time and I’m not sure if it still for sale.
I saw the truck parked long-term at a campsite in Teotihuacan in Mexico when I passed through in March/April last year. The owners were apparantly back in Europe.
Dear nick, we left the truck behind. My wife became ill in March in 2013 and we were due to go home so she got better. After that my wife decided not to travel any more in America. (We were prepared to travel to Ushuaia). We left the MAN truck on the parking lot near Mexico city. Now, the camping is owner of the truck. The truck would be installed as a dentist cabinet. Thanks for contacting us. Greetings, Frans
Hi Frans, sorry to hear about the sad end to your trip.
It seems a strange demise for such a capable vehicle. I would have thought that if you could have got the truck back up to North America, you would have had no trouble selling it in a country which has such a love of unusual metal.
I took a photo of your truck and posted it on my blog here:

All the best,
